If you’re looking for real, practical ways to take control of your blood sugar and overall health, this is the place to be! Our group is all about learning, sharing, and taking action, no gimmicks, just evidence-based strategies that work.

We dive into how diabetes affects the body, what you can do to improve your health, and how a whole food, plant-based lifestyle can help you improve your numbers and reverse type 2 diabetes--so you can throw away your glucose monitor forever.
Each session has a topic to explore (with slides for easy reference), followed by plenty of time for Q&A so you can get the answers you need.

What You Can Expect:

- Clear, science-backed insights: no fluff, just the facts that matter.
- Actionable strategies: small changes that make a big impact on your health.
- A welcoming space: ask questions, share experiences, and connect with others.
- Resources & takeaways: so you can put what you learn into practice right away.

MEET PEGGY:

Your host, Peggy Kraus, MA, RCEP, CDCES is a registered clinical exercise physiologist. She is also certified in both diabetes care and education and in teaching plant-based nutrition – a combination of credentials that has helped to make her an expert in reversing type 2 diabetes.

Many years ago, Peggy learned that exercise could lower blood glucose. So, if exercise could lower blood glucose, what else could? Since then, she’s been scouring the research for information about what raises and what lowers blood glucose. From what she learned, she created a type 2 diabetes reversal program and named it aptly, Erasing Diabetes.

Peggy has also worked in cardiac rehab for more than 25 years where she now encourages her cardiac patients to adopt a plant-based diet. Unfortunately, not all her colleagues are on board with her approach to nutrition. The hospital’s registered dietitians and its diabetes educator have vehemently opposed her views on nutrition and have made her hospital-life difficult at times.

Peggy used to tiptoe around teaching plant-based diet concepts to patients – as to not stir up the tempers - but now she just tells it like it is. With so much supporting research – and with case studies of her own to show improved patient outcomes – she doesn’t duck administration anymore.
Peggy is married and has two 20-something year-old sons and Leo, their Puerto Rican rescue. Her eldest son is also vegan, and her husband is vegan-ish, as Kathy Freston would say. Peggy gently encourages her younger son to follow suit. Peggy commutes to work via bicycle - to do her part for the environment and to help stay fit and strong.

No matter where you are on your journey, you are welcome here. Join us! 🌱
