In a world where chronic illness and rising obesity rates are robbing millions of the opportunity to live fully, hope begins with knowledge, and healing begins with community.

Today, over 70% of Americans are living with overweight or obesity. If we continue on this trajectory, nearly half of the U.S. population will face obesity by 2030. But beyond the statistics are real people, struggling with exhaustion, frustration, and the painful toll of preventable disease.

You are not alone, and your story is not over.

At Plant Based Support, we believe in the power of prevention, plant-based nutrition, and personal empowerment. Our Weight Loss Support Group offers a compassionate space where people come together each month to learn, share, and grow surrounded by others who understand the journey and are committed to change.

What You’ll Learn

Your host Barbara Chwierut is a retired speech and language pathologist, specializing in assistive technology. She’s been WFPB for approximately 10 years and is extremely passionate about this lifestyle. Barb has a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition through eCornell, T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. She looks forward to connecting with others who want to learn more about the whole food plant-based lifestyle. 

 

Our group focuses on topics related to weight loss through a whole-food, plant-based (WFPB) lifestyle. You’ll hear inspiring success stories, learn from the latest research, receive tips for getting started and staying committed to WFPB living, and enjoy occasional cooking demonstrations.
