Simple Starts: Plant-Based Cooking for Beginners.

This is a welcoming, beginner-friendly group focused on the practical side of whole food, plant-based living. Each session is designed to give you simple, useful tips you can apply right away, helping you build confidence, reduce decision fatigue, and take the next step on your journey.

We explore real-life topics like pantry essentials, basic kitchen tools, and simple go-to meals. You’ll get ideas for 3 easy meals a day, snacks, travel-friendly foods, and tips for eating out, so you can build healthy habits that work for your lifestyle.

Along the way, you’ll hear from inspiring members and guest speakers, see basic food demos, and leave each session with recipes and encouragement to keep moving forward.

MEET YOUR HOST

Hello, I'm Anne Schroeder, RN, DCES, NC-BC, and Graduate from the Center of Nutritional Studies.

I’m thrilled to be a facilitator for our Plant-Based Nutrition Support Group.

Originally from Illinois and Wisconsin, I spent much of my adult life in Arizona before making Idaho my home. The mountains and Idaho’s natural beauty inspire my love for the outdoors, gardening, and what I like to call “kitchen science”—the creative process of crafting Whole Food Plant-Based (WFPB) dishes that nourish both body and soul.

My passion for coaching stems from a deep belief in empowering individuals at any point in their health journey to cultivate a more vibrant version of themselves through plant-based eating.

As a board-certified nurse specialist and founder of Simply Well Life Coaching, my work focuses on helping people prevent, halt, and, in some cases, reverse type 2 diabetes. This proactive approach not only tackles diabetes but also brings other positive changes—like better sleep, more energy, and greater physical activity.
